With everything going on lately, we haven't looked at the latest on the H1N1 Virus. As of July 6 (the last report from the WHO) there have been nearly 95,000 cases reported. This out of a world population of somewhere around 6 billion. If my math is still working, that puts it at a very small fraction of a percent of the population (around 0.002%) - not a number that really needs to worry you, especially if you are sensible.
By the way, of the total number of cases, about one-third of them have been reported in the good old U.S. of A. So maybe that means it is even safer to travel internationally than it is to stay here - something to think about, and maybe even use when you are trying to convince that sceptical spouse that your dream trip to Fiji (which only has two reported cases) is a good idea.
If you are still concerned about the Flu, you can check for updates at the WHO website. If you are not, or just want to get away from the everyday, why not let AirGorilla set you up for a quick vacay.
